This place is good BUT they increased the prices (which were already high), so it's just absurd. Not worth it, not even remotely. 3000 yen for a bowl of char shu ramen at lunch time. That's one of the cheaper options. I cringe to think of dinner prices (they used to be a different menu with higher prices...maybe now just the same). I used to like coming here. If money doesn't matter at all to you, by all means. But even the principle of it bothers me.
Overpriced. Ramen is pretty oily.
Ramen worth the high price.
The ramen here was delicious and unique! I went with a friend for lunch so I was able to try two- the Shabu Shabu (pork) ramen and the Kurumi (Walnut) Tantan-men. The taste of the Shabu Shabu soup was that of a 塩ラーメン (salt-based ramen), but the flavor was fresh and very unique-- unlike any I've tried before. That combined with the mouth-wateringly soft Shabu Shabu pork was fantastic. The Kurumi (Walnut) Tantan-men had a hint of spice and the soup had a faint flavor and 香り(aroma) of walnut. I really enjoyed this ramen as well. Give it a try if you drop by Ebisu! Definitely quite a unique ramen shop and worth the price in my opinion to drop by for lunch.
Amazing ramen but shocked when the check came for 8200 yen. Two ramen and two sake definitely didn't expect that price. I wish I had read these other reviews before hand. The chef however was very attentive in the fact that we didn't speak japanese and helped us to order our meal. Overall positive experience.
Be smarter then me and check their prices first. I expected expensive but good ramen, got a decent bowl that was crazy overpriced. 3200¥ for wontonmen. That’s about 3 times the price the bowl is worth in my opinion. Beware...
Nice typical noodle dishes. About 2000 yens a dish.
Pork shrimp noodles noodles Maji delicious! Each ingredient was made firmly and without compromise, and the cloud cup was fluffy, soft and really like drinking clouds. It had a solid presence as Chinese noodles, not somehow. I felt it was worth more than the price.
FRIDAY170120麻婆豆腐砂鍋麺¥2,200
The chef here creates Chinese soups and incorporates some Japanese elements. While not ramen, it's the closest description in Japanese. The wantanmen is a delicate chicken broth with delicious wantans and charsiu, Y3,000. And the clam soup, with some top quality clams from Asari create a delicious seafood based soup, Y8,000. There are no prices on the menu so just watch out for that. Yes, it's delicious but hard to justify any bowl of soup for Y8,000. But I would go back for the wantanmen!
Amazing miso ramen and chashu ramen! No English menu.
Always amazing. Been coming here since the carpenters was a fixture. They actually put the cd on once during a lunch for nostalgia. Hands down favorite ramen in ebisu.
It's an "expensive" ramen, but it's still delicious.I ate both wonton ramen and char siu ramen, but the taste was elegant. There are criticisms about customer service on the Internet, but personally I don't have to expect too many customers from ramen shops. I think. However, at night, I want you to stop the useless system unless you order another dish besides ramen. Therefore two stars.
Please avoid. Extremely overpriced for mediocre ramen. Used to be great, not sure what happened.
ok
Fresh food, ambiance was perfect except for the Adam's Family sound track when we first entered
The overpriced ramen which is delicious, especially the pork. What I disliked the most was that the staff begged me for ordering a drink. Why so??
Def not your traditional Chinese noodles. Big portions , great flavours. Yummy !
This is BS
Extremely overpriced.Ramen is average, service is meeeh. At dinner you are not allowed to order only ramen, so you each person have to order at least another >1500 yen dish. And they are not good either.Just ridiculous.
Amazing ramen recommend the tokumori shironashi tantamen.... UuummmmBut downside is that it's pricey
Vastly overpriced! Two bowls of ramen, small salad, and a typical beer was ¥10,000. Food was good but should be a third of the price. Avoid unless your hobbies include burning cash.
Best Ramen of my life. That said your going to pay for it. Ramen, Siu Mai, 2 Beers = $70.
My wife just went to for her lunch. Suzuran is one of the best Ramen Shop in Tokyo. She ordered a clam ramen which it dose not quoted in menu. IT WAS A 8,000 JPN YEN. The Ramen was inappropriately price! Please read menu with caution !
The taste is so good, if you put high-quality ingredients in a dish of ramen, it will be like that. The noodles were powdery, so I felt like boiling people should be careful. The rumored customer service isn't messy, but it's not good for the price of the store. If you are conscious of high-end stores, I think that you should use proper honorifics.
Good ramen
Very well-made, delicately-flavored shoyu ramen... although fabulously expensive and a bit too light for my taste. Upscale atmosphere with prices to match. No English and (kudos, Suzuran!) no photographs allowed.
Delicious ramen, but quite expensive. Come here if you're willing to pay around 1500 yen per ramen. No photo allowed.
Never order their shuimai. Not sure what they were thinking when they cooked it this mushy. Ramen is tasty but overpriced. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate their 4000 yen clam noodles.
Its a scam. No pricing on half of their menu items. Tabelog shows 950 yen noodles. You go in and the cheapest noodle with beansprouts is 1950yen. Charsiu noodle is 3000yen. This is lunch. I heard clam noodle is 5000+yen. They have noodles as much as 13000 yen. Sure. Price it whatever you want. But dont lure customers by hiding your pricing. They also dont take credit card. Only cash. You think the service is at least good? Nope the employee was cocky and had zero customer service. Dont go
tooooooo expensiveThat’s a ripoff!
Very interesting place, definitely not your traditional Chinese noodles shop. Only has about 10-12 seats bar seats, 3 staff all dressed in white chef's clothing, clean cut, gives the impression of seriousness. You don't hear the usual loud welcome or thank you yelling out by the staff. Customers were quietly, slurping their noodles. No pictures allowed of the restaurant, but okay for your own food. I ordered combo noodles and the special steamed dumplings. The noodles were quite delicious (home made),the soup stock was lightly salted, the one piece of beef and the wontons were good. The steamed dumplings were not special. Very expensive Chinese ramen. But, I liked the professional feel. Saw a cold noodles plate that looked really good, love to try it next time.
Fantastic ramen; incredibly expensive. If you mind spending more than 35$/25GBP/3500yen on ramen + a beer, don’t come here. (We paid ~$250 for four of us going overboard with toppings and sides, so this feels like an upper limit). If you are a ramen fanatic and want to try an excellent gyotai tori shoyu chintan base ramen, with excellent hosomen, chashu, negi, menma and nitama (aka seafood-chicken-soy clear broth with thin, straight noodles, roast pork, scallion, fermented bamboo and a medium-boiled soy egg), come here for the experience.Friendly service, not much english spoken, nor an english menu, FYI.
It was introduced on Fuji TV's "Oni Ramen", but I'm sure there are people who are invited to this TV program to stop by.My evaluation is the worst ramen shop.It was 6100 yen with tomato ramen and pork and highball.Arrogant customer service that does not consider customers to be customers.Noodles are not particularly good either. Moreover, there is a quarrel with the customer. What is this store? There are ridiculous stores.I will never go again.
Ordered the chashu-men. Delicious and wonderful presentation!! No English menu and waiters/chefs do not speak English. Also no photographs allowed :)
We visited Plat without knowing any information about this store. Knowing that it is a high-end ramen shop by looking at the menu table inside the shop.Since it was lunch time, there is Chinese buckwheat noodles for lunch and the price is 1500 yen.It is a soy sauce ramen of soup with a color close to black. The soup has a film of fat and you can enjoy it until the end. You can understand that it is a ramen made with high-quality ingredients with complex taste, but I doubt if it is worth 1500 yen. There was no unpleasant customer service attitude like other word of mouth, and I felt that it was a gentleman's customer service.
